This was so spot on. The work insists for sure ! Lately I’ve found the words coming to me on my way to work, in the middle of traffic. I’ve had to pull over, I’ve had to try memorise at least the opening to hopefully pour the rest out later . . . and and and, it’s such a wonderful rush of a feeling, to have the words seek you out with such persistence. Their insistence is assuring, I’m still alive, I’m still me . . . I have still been chosen to do the work.
There is a theory that lying down helps you process your day, and night time is less noisy so it’s possible that might be part of the reason- writing at night just feels so different in a good way
As a fellow middle of the night scribbler; you captured the feeling exactly
This is so accurate, and worse that all the best ideas manifest in these late hours

The night calls to you and me.
Not to take you by the dark nor me.
But in the dark to see.
Her light to share with you and me.
LOVE THIS! There is a measured progression from beginning to end. 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Aria 🥰
Everything has a price
That we do not choose
Art might even take the peace we had
Replacing it with satisfaction
Such beautiful rhythms in your lines

One of my favorite verses that I recently wrote, I came up with it while walking to the restroom in the middle of night.
the best ones always come at the weirdest times!
This represents the relationship all of us have with our craft perfectly
it sometimes feels like insomnia is a prerequisite
